Mary “Lou” Dyer Reedy, 90, of Salem, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015.

She was born in Roanoke County, a daughter of the late Charlie and Betty Dyer. Lou graduated from Andrew Lewis High School and attended Mary Washington College. She worked for Norfolk Western Railway and General Motors Acceptance Corp. before her marriage, and for Fincastle Motor Company after her children were grown. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Salem. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reedy, and brothers, Mack and Walton Dyer.

She is survived by her children, Charles Reedy and wife Carol of Roanoke, Luanne Hatcher and husband Jerry of Daleville, and Rebecca Kleindienst and husband Chuck of Glen Allen. Lou is also survived by a brother, Edwin Dyer of Salem, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 30, 2015 at St. Andrew’s Diocesan Cemetery. Father Alistair McKay will officiate. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
