My husband was admitted to Riverview Nursing & Rehab on April 29th, 2008. At that time I didn't know Mr. Topping. Some time later on I had the priviledge to know and see how friendly(which I didn't think he was at first), kind & compassionate he was and he cared about the residents.. My husband has Parkinson Disease & is at the stage where he is having triouble swallowing. Mr Topping took me a side one day after learning that one of his problems was how the food was prepared. I will never forget what he said to me. "That disease is bad enough with out us making it worse". He said he would get on this & he was true to his word, He ask me to keep him informed about how things were going. I had several other issues & he took care of those.
Riverview Nursing & Rehab will not be the same without him. To me he made Riverview Nursing & Rehab.
My sympathy goes out to his wife, daughter, son, grandson & all the staff. Mr Topping, better known as Mr Peachy to me will always be in my heart & never fogtten.
