Obituary for Lawrence Tarleton "T-Pot" Williams, Sr.

Lawrence Tarleton "T-Pot" Williams, Sr.
Lawrence T. (T-Pot) Williams, 89, a member of the Greatest Generation, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2016 at his son’s home in Salem, Va.. He was born July 20, 1926 in Richmond, Va. and lived most of his life in Chesterfield County. T-Pot was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche; and brothers, Frank, Roscoe, and Billy. He is survived by his son, Lon Williams (Susan) of Salem; brother, Nathaniel Williams, Jr. (Connie) of Yorktown, Va.; sister-in-law, Anne Williams of Washington, N.C.; and special niece, Barbara Francisco (David) of Washington, N.C..
T-Pot was a long time member of IBEW 666, a brother of Freemasonry, and a proud Marine veteran of World War II. T-Pot had a strong work ethic and worked in the engineering profession for many years. He was formerly employed by the multidiscipline architecture and engineering firm of Hankins & Anderson in Richmond. He very much enjoyed his time spent at The Rivah in Urbanna and spent many happy hours fishing the Rappahannock River for spot, croaker, and anything else that would jump on his hook. He was a wonderful father and father-in-law and a faithful friend to many, and he will be greatly missed. Arrangements will be private and simple as were Dad’s wishes. Semper Fi!
