Linda Carolyn Price (Murphy)
Linda Carolyn Price, 73, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2016. Preceding her in death was her beloved son, Michael Lee McRoberts, who she had been separated in death from for 35 years; her father, Walter Lee Murphy; and her mother, Edna Mae Murphy.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Norris Kenneth Price; sister, Patricia Pruett; niece, Lynne Bledsoe and husband, Kelly, and children Lauren and Tyler; nephew, Clark Custer and wife, Jean of CA; step-sister Shirley Cooper and brother-in-law, Bobby; step-daughters and sons-in-law, Diane and Wayne Haywood, Mary and Jeff Crigger, Debbie Cooper; and step-sons and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Roxanna Price, and Kenneth Price; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and David Price, and Joyce and Marshall Price; life-long friends Cheyenne Ferguson, Janet Bowling and Betsy Shephard, and countless other friends.
Carolyn had been a faithful member of Ridgewood Baptist Church for 42 years. She had worked selling office supplies for 45 years, most recently at Roanoke Office Supply. She had also been a Charter member of the Roanoke Lupus Chapter and a member of the Vinton Chapter of the A.B.W.A. for many years. Carolyn was a rare person who was loved by all she met. She had a way about her that made others feel special. She could light up a room with her warm smile. She will be missed greatly by all of those that loved her.
Periods of visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 6 until 8 p.m., and Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 1 until 2 p.m, at Ridgewood Baptist Church in Roanoke. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Ridgewood Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. Burial will be private.
The family would like to thank the caring medical staff at Carilion's Neuro Trauma Intensive Care Unit for their loving care the last week of her life.
