Obituary for Clark McKinley Cregger Jr.

Clark McKinley Cregger, Jr., 89, of Salem; Christian, family man, and proud veteran, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, November 8, 2014.
He served in WWII with the 8th Army Air Corps and retired from Eli Lilly & Co.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clark McKinley Cregger, Sr. and Jennie Kent Cregger; and his wife, Opal Bell Smith Cregger.
Family remaining to cherish his memory includes his sisters, Genevieve Witt and Dorothy Ayers; daughters and their spouses, Sharon and Joseph Rutherford, and Deborah and Clark Wade; sons and their spouses, Clark Cregger, III and wife Suzette, and Mark and Debbie Cregger; grandchildren, Cristi LaPrad, Dara Reese, Shonda Cregger, Clark Cregger, IV, Stephen Wade, and Phillip Wade; step-granddaughter, Veronica Wright; and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition, he leaves behind his friend and companion, Martha Milliron.
Memorial services honoring Mr. Cregger’s life will be conducted on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at 2 p.m. at Salem Church of Christ, 401 W. Main Street, Salem, Va. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. A private interment will be conducted at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.
