I dont know if anyone will ever read this...but as i sat outside this evening staring at the full October moon...Boots Houchens came into my thoughts! I knew Boots in the late 70's early 80's in Salem, Va. I was in my late 20's early 30's...she would have been in her 50's...and the two of us shared an incredible friendship. She gave me a gorgeous handmade basket that I still have. We would share meals and time just hanging out talking. I moved away and we lost touch. I feel so badly that I never contacted her. Why she appeared to me tonight as I was staring at the moon I will never know. I decided to google her name to see if I could locate her and of course found her obituary. I offer my deep condolences to her family. She was an incredible woman. I was so happy to see that she had remarried and had 3 grandchildren. One very special woman!
