Willie Mae Fleming, 94, of Salem, and formerly of Llano, TX, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Leva Giddings, and her husband, Lloyd E. Fleming. She was the former president of the Salem Garden Club, and an award winner in many garden club shows. She was a member of a bridge club, attended Salem Presbyterian Church and enjoyed volunteering in many of Salems organizations. Willie is survived by her loving children, Pamela A. Fleming of Roanoke, Debra Fleming Taggart of Monte Vista, CO, and Tracy L. Fleming of Raleigh, NC; and a half-brother, L. Lloyd Witt of Woodlands, TX. The family would like to thank the Richfield Retirement Community for their care. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Friday, September 2, 2016 at the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. The Rev Janet Chisom will officiate. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, September 1, 2016 at the funeral home.
