William David Schrader passed away on July 15, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on November 29, 1944, to the late Margaret Cooper Schrader and William Ernest Schrader. He spent his life honing his skills in the automotive industry, primarily as a master diesel mechanic, where he earned the respect and admiration of his peers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Jane Stanley Schrader; sister, Libby Vanlew; and brother, Richard Schrader. 

He was an avid outdoorsman whose spirit thrived in nature. He found joy in fishing, camping, and hiking, often seeking out new adventures under the open sky.

He is survived by his children, Lee Westmoreland Schrader, Angela Parker, and Dava Aguilar; grandchildren, Shawn Allen Schrader, Jessica Raven Schrader, and Daniel Taylor Schrader; great-great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Bailey, Cole, and Maddelynne Schrader; sister, Tina Cundiff. 

A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Sherwood Memorial Park, located at 1250 East Main Street, Salem, VA 24153.
