William Lee Morris, 92, of Salem and formerly of Prince George, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2017.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and in Vietnam. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Alice Pafford Morris; parents, Raymond and Maude Morris; daughter, Gretchen; and sisters, Ann Morris and Etta Fisher.
His surviving family includes his daughter, Becky Brown and husband, Mike, of Fairfax; sons, Bill and wife, Michelle, of Columbus, Ohio, and Bob of Roanoke; sister, Elsie Payne of Warrenton; and brothers, Mac of Arlington and Jimmy and wife, Ruth, of Lynn Haven, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017, at Glenwood Cemetery in Bristol, Tenn. With Rev. Everett Kier officiating.
