William Camellous Dobbins Iii

William (Bill) Camellous Dobbins III, 84, of Rocky Mount, Va. and formerly of Mount Pleasant, S.C., passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 5, 2023. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Camellous Dobbins II and Helen Blakely Dobbins; siblings, James Randolph Dobbins and Judith Dobbins Surles; and granddaughter, Laura Elaine Dobbins. His surviving family includes his children, William (Will) Camellous Dobbins IV and Ashley Dobbins Smith and husband, Michael (Tony); former spouse, Elaine Dobbins Lee; grandchildren, Blake Anthony Smith, Austin Michael Smith, and Taylor Ashley Smith; and great-grandchildren, Mason Dobbins-Keffer and Cyrus William Brooks. The family extends special appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff at Lewis-Gale Medical Center for their care. A celebration of Bills life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, in Clinton, S.C. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made to the Parkinsons Foundation.
