William Earl 'Bill' Bain

William E. Bill Bain, 73, of Salem, died on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Earl S. and Jane J. Bain; and nephew, Larry W. Booth, Jr. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 50 years, Carolyn U. Bain of Salem, VA; children, Leigh B. (Shane) Hitchcock of Nashville, TN and Stuart M. (Sarah) Bain of Salem, VA; siblings, Sheri B. (Randy) Tuck of Monroe, VA, Mark L. (Lisa) Bain of Salem, VA, and Paul D. (Denise) of Lexington, NC; grandchildren, Hannah and Rebekah Hitchcock and Elizabeth, Charles and Charlotte Anne Bain; numerous nieces and nephews; Larry W. Booth; and C &C. Bills favorite pastime was fishing in the Outer Banks. He was a devoted Sunday school teacher and mentor to the youth at Grandin Court Baptist Church for many years. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Grandin Court Baptist Church with Dr. Kevin Meadows officiating.
