Willard Raymond Daulton

Willard R. Ray Daulton, Jr., 63 of Salem went to be with his Lord on Friday, June 3, 2011. Mr Daulton was born on December 21, 1947 in Farmville, Va. to the late Willard R. Daulton, Sr., & Ruby Daulton. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard & was employed with Roanoke County as a painter, as well as owning his own painting company, Daulton Painting, for 25 years. Mr. Daulton will be remembered by those who loved him as a good family man, not only towards his immediate family, but the greater love for his church family at Ridgewood Baptist, & his Lord. He was very proud of being the best he could be to serve his Lord. Surviving him include his wife of 41 years, Virginia Jenny Daulton; daughter, Stacie, & special son-in-law, J.D. Booth; two very special grandchildren, Addie, & Nick Buck Booth; a brother, Don Boozie, & wife Vicki Daulton; nieces, Amy, & husband Alex, Carrie, Brea, & husband Andrew; great niece, Kylie; his sister, Charlotte Ferguson; nephew, Gary Ferguson and his wife Cindy; great-niece Savannah; a special brother & sister-in-law, Roy & Linda Wahab; nieces, Joy, Stephanie, Jenn, Angie, Kristin, & nephews Craig & Anthony. A memorial service to remember and honor Ray will be conducted on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11 a.m., at Ridgewood Baptist church with the Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the Ridgewood Baptist Vision Fund, Ridgewood Baptist Church.
