Wendell Cornelius Johns

Wendell C. Johns "Wiggles", 83, of Salem, VA, passed away on October 22, 2026.

Born December 26, 1942, in Salem, Roanoke County, to the late Howard Cornelius Johns and Naomi Frances Barbour Johns.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Lois Johns "Bunny"; daughter, Cindy Hale; grandson, Larry Hale, Jr.; and sister, Charlotte Shelton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Kathy Daniel (Bobby); sister, Evelyn Cruise; and brother, Gary Johns (Diane).

The family would like to welcome friends for a period of visitation at 1:00 pm on October 27, 2026, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home located in Salem, Va. A funeral service will begin promptly at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at the Butt Cemetery in Roanoke County, VA.
