Warren Saunders

Warren A. Saunders, 67, of Roanoke, passed away on January 19 2013. He was born on August 6, 1945 in Floyd, VA, son of the late Warren and Marie Saunders. In addition to his parents, Warren is preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Saunders; and a sister, Joann Cox. He is survived by a son, James Saunders and his wife Lisa; sisters, Frances Matz and her husband Larry, and Beatrice McNeil and her husband Morris; brothers, Cecil Saunders and his wife Debbie, and Donald Saunders; grandchildren, James Saunders, Jr., Matthew Saunders, Cheyenne Saunders, Mary Sweeny, McKenzie Saunders, and Nicklaus Saunders; and great-grandchild, Trenton Saunders. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 2 until 4 pm and 6 until 8 pm at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service to honor Warrens life will be conducted on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Lanny Belcher will officiate.
