Warren Elmer Hinson

Warren Elmer Hinson, 86, of Salem, VA passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He was born January 1, 1925 in Fieldale, VA son of the late, Shuby Judson Hinson and Gladys Mae Richardson Hinson. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Chrisley Hinson. Mr. Hinson was a US Army WWII D-day Veteran and a member of First Baptist Church on Randolph Ave. in Pulaski, VA. He retired from Hudson Chevrolet in Pulaski, VA as shop foreman. He is survived by his children, Gary Warren Hinson and wife Linda, Janie Carol Hinson and Susan Elizabeth Hinson; two grandchildren, Warren Parker Hinson and Ellery Brett Hinson; brother, Kenneth James Hinson; sisters, Frances Morris and Ann Semones; and special nephew, James Warren Cook. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am Friday, July 22, 2011 at the Chapel of John M. Oakey and Son, Salem with Rev. Roy Kanode officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, KY.
