Walter Michael, Mike Brammer, 69, of Salem, because of his deep and abiding faith, is now in the presence of his Savior Jesus Christ for all eternity. He was a faithful servant to the Lord. He lived for his family and the joy they gave him. He led our family to walk with the Lord by the way he lived his life. He gave each of us unconditional, patient, never-ending love as a husband, Dad, and Pop. Mike's legacy of loving the Lord and serving the Kingdom will live on in the countless lives he touched while working in youth ministry for 35 years. He lived life to the fullest cherishing each day, each friendship, every vacation, and every game he watched Matt and his grandchildren play, every camping trip, every cousin sleepover, every game he coached, every Salem and Virginia Tech football game, and talking to everyone. Mike never knew a stranger and was a friend to everyone. He was a genuinely kind person, always selfless, tirelessly giving. As always, God, family, and Salem Football. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Evelyn Brammer; his sister, Barbara Blevins; and his brother, Richard Brammer. Left to carry his legacy is his wife of 41 years, Tammy Brammer; daughters, Kasey (Jason) Bordas, and Jamie (James) Frankie; son Matthew (Bethany) Brammer; as well as his brother, Bill Brammer, and sister Kathey (Larry) Keys. He was the worlds greatest Pop to his grandchildren Caroline, William and Nora Frankie, Madocks Bordas, and Reagan Brammer. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
