Vivian Leigh Crum Martinez, 69, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born on February 15, 1957, to the late William Henry Burgess Crum and Virginia Ruth Collins Crum in Richlands, VA, and spent her childhood in Buchanan County, Virginia. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, William Lewis Crum.

Those left to cherish Vivian's memory include her son, William Thomas Fitzgerald and wife, Brittany; sister, Donna Kay Crum Boone; her grandchildren, Mason Fitzgerald and Maggie Fitzgerald; her niece, Andrea Varidakis-Broyles; very special friend, Sue Richardson; as well as many friends, loved ones, and extended family members.

In keeping with her wishes, no services are planned at this time.

The family wishes to extend gratitude to the caring staff of Gentle Shepherd Hospice and Our Lady of the Valley for the kindness shown to Vivian throughout her illness.
