As a life long member of Salem Baptist Church, she volunteered in many capacities and wore many hats serving as a member of numerous committees.
Virginias love for talking earned her the nickname of Mouth of the South! She loved attending any and all sporting events at Salem High School and was a surrogate grandmother to many. She was better known as Gin-Gin, a nickname used by her grandchildren.
She was a loving wife and mother and was known for her uncanny ability to have never met a stranger. Virginia had a happy marriage to a Christian man for 62 years and together they built a Christian home where people were more important than money and love was the major ingredient. In lieu of flowers, she requested that donations be made to either of the following: Salem Baptist Church Missions at 103 North Broad Street in Salem, VA 24153 or to the Salem Sports Foundation Scholarship Fund at P.O.
