Virginia Cotman Fayed

Virginia Cotman Fayed, age 94, of Hopewell, died peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2016 while in the company of her family at Snyder Nursing Home in Salem, Va. She is preceded in death by her parents, Waverly and Annie Hill Cotman; brother, James M. Cotman; sister, Dorothy C. Mabry; husband, Haney S. Fayed Sr.; and her oldest son, Haney S. Fayed Jr.. She is survived by one son, Gerald C. Fayed and wife, Linda; grandsons, Michael E. Fayed and wife, Jennifer and Scott E. Fayed and wife, Cari; five great-grandchildren; and numerous other nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 2nd Avenue Hopewell, VA 23860 where she was a lifelong member.
