Tony Lee Reynolds, 81 of New Castle, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. He was born in New Castle on June 2, 1930 to the late Roy Lee & Delphia Huffman Reynolds. Mr. Reynolds will be remembered in many capacities. He founded and developed the Country Campground located in New Castle; was one of the founders of the Craig County Rescue Squad as well as an instructor for the Virginia Rescue Squad Association. Mr. Reynolds retired at the age of 62 from General Electric, and he will be remembered also for his strong leadership with the Boy Scouts and as a volunteer forest warden. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Mildred Matthews Reynolds in 2009. He is survived by two daughters, Dena Wright and husband Ronald of New Castle, and Lisa Caldwell of New Castle; a sister, Barbara Burrows of Newport News; two grandsons, Corie Trivette, and Caleb Bryant; one great-grandson, Grayson, and numerous nieces & nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at 3 P.M. at the Country Campground Pavilion in New Castle. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Virginia Veterans Care Center, Roanoke, VA, C/O 1 East Alzheimers unit.
