Timothy Earl Whitt

Timothy Earl Whitt, 57 of Salem, VA passed away Monday, August 5, 2013. He was born in Bluefield, WV a son of Virginia Freeman and the late Earl Justus Whitt. He was also preceded in death by great-niece, Shannon Whitt. Timothy worked for Carter Machinery, Branch Highways and most recently for Blue Ridge Isotopes where he very much enjoyed his job and fellow co-workers. He was a loving and faithful husband, wonderful father, friend and nurturing son and brother. In addition to his mother Virginia, he is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Whitt; son, David Whitt and wife, Sarah; daughter, Diana Whitt; sister, D. Sue Tooley and husband, Jimmie; brother, Sam Whitt and wife, Shirley; nephews, Michael Tooley and wife, Dawn and Anthony Tooley; great-nephews, Shane Tooley and Chase Whitt; and great-niece, Sarah Tooley The family will receive friends Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 4 to 6 pm at John M. Oakey and Son, Salem. Following the visitation at the funeral home friends and family are invited to gather at the family home around 6:30 pm for a time of remembrance and fellowship of Timothys life. John M.
