Thomas Jackson "T.J." Montgomery

Thomas Jackson T.J. Montgomery, 21, of Salem, finished his journey on December 28th, 2022. T.J. was born on June 19, 2001, in Roanoke Virginia. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joseph Montgomery, Sadie Montgomery; and maternal grandfather, Jack Crawford. T.J is a 2019 graduate of Glenvar high school. He loved art and enjoyed playing the piano. T.J could do anything he set his mind to. He was a cat lover, and parent to his best friend Peppy. Everyone that had the privilege of knowing T.J. would say that he had a heart of gold. He enjoyed being with family, especially for family reunions. Those left here on earth to cherish his memory include his parents, Sandra Sandy Montgomery and Thomas Montgomery; twin brother, Riley Montgomery; maternal grandmother, Betty Crawford; half-brother, Joey Montgomery; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family will receive friends in the John M. Oakey and Son chapel, Salem, on Tuesday, January 3rd from 1until 2 pm, with a memorial service to honor his life at 2 pm.
