Thomas William Crouch

Thomas William (Bill) Crouch, 72, of Salem, passed away after a long fight with COPD on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. Bill was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the US Air Force. He retired from First Union Bank after 25 years of service, and was a member of the Penguin Club. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Preceding him in death were his parents, Dinksey and Evelyn Crouch. His surviving family includes his wife of 52 years, Margaret Crouch; children, Janine Brizendine Crotts and husband, John (Nick), and Stephen Crouch and wife, Brooke; grandchildren, Kyndal Brizendine-Alejon and husband, Kyle, and Carter Crouch; siblings, Anne Cole, Theodore (Ted) Crouch and wife, Betty, and Jane East and husband, Mike; and many nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thanks to Lewis-Gale Medical Centers CCU and especially Karen and Amir for the love, support, care, and kindness provided. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem with the Rev. Dr. Robert T. Copenhaver officiating. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Bills memory to the Salem Rescue Squad at 201 South Broad Street in Salem, Va. 24153.
