Theresa Ann Jewell

Theresa Ann DeHart Jewell, 74, of Salem, VA passed away Friday, August 25, 2017. She was born April 4, 1943 in Roanoke, VA a daughter of the late Thorton Alonzo and Elizabeth Lewis DeHart. Ann graduated from Radford College with a teaching degree. She retired from Wells Fargo with 20 years of service. She formerly taught Pre-school prior to going into banking. She also assisted her husband Paul with his photography studio in Salem. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and faithfully volunteered for many years with various children and womens groups. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Paul Wesley Jewell; son, Matt Jewell and wife, Peggy; daughters, Beth Kennedy and Susan Grimberg and husband, John C.; seven grandchildren, Cierra McDaniel, Kristen Burnette, Kaitlyn Duhon, Kyndsey Cook, Kendall Cook, Gracie Grimberg and Olivia Grimberg; and a great-grandson, James Duhon. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Anns name be made to Radford University College of Education and Human Development.
