Theresa Ann "Terri" Hawryliw, 76, of Salem, Va., formerly of Cleveland, OH, passed away on August 25, 2026, where she was greeted in Heaven by her beloved son, Geoff. She was born on December 1, 1949, to the late Agostino Zazzara and Jean Budziak Zazzara in Cleveland.

Terri was a fun-loving and friendly person who had a wonderful way of making friends wherever she went. She treasured spending time with her family and friends and especially enjoyed vacationing in Florida. Her warm and easygoing nature made it simple for those around her to feel welcomed and loved.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Geoffrey Michael Hawryliw.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 52 years, William "Willy" Hawryliw; daughter, Christine "Chris" Hawryliw (Brian Arthur); granddaughter, Harper Arthur; brothers, Frank Zazzara and wife, Gaile, and John Zazzara and wife, Kathleen; as well as her nieces and nephews, Gina Zazzara, Amanda Paterline, Ryan Zazzara, and Alison Zazzara.

A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 314 Turner Rd. Salem, Va., 24153, with Fr. Kyle O'Connor officiating. The internment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2026, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Salem.
