Thelma Hancock Plaster

Thelma H. Plaster, 96, of Salem, died Tuesday, August 16, 2022. Following her graduation from Basset High School, she went on to Ferrum College, met and married Paul Plaster from Fieldale, and they located to the Roanoke area to begin their family. She was a loving mom to her two sons, and her greatest enjoyments were gardening and painting, and developed into an accomplished artist. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul, and her son Gregory L. Plaster, who was taken too soon. She is survived by her son Jerome Plaster, and a granddaughter, Alexandria Plaster. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Monday, August 22, 2022, at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. Pastor Dan Carawan will officiate. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
