Thelma Hall Dishner, 84, of Salem, Va., went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 6, 2023.
Born on Wednesday, June 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John and Lattie Hall. She was an elementary school teacher for 37 years, and was also a Sunday School teacher at the church she cherished Fort Lewis Baptist. She enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, and also loved flower gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, James R. Dishner, Sr.; and brother, John Hall, Jr.
Her surviving family includes her children, Jim Dishner and Jennifer Dishner; grandchildren, Tyler Dishner and fiance, Maddy Sliwoski, and Evan Dishner; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be conducted on Thursday, February 9, 2023, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and funeral at 11 a.m. in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Hall Family Cemetery in Snowville, Va.
