Thania N. Ramos-Barrios

Thania N. Ramos-Barrios, 13, of Roanoke, passed away peacefully and into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 15, 2020. She was born on November 23, 2006, in Roanoke, Va. Thania was a very loving and caring young lady that would bring a smile to your face as she danced into any room. She absolutely loved to dance to the Lord! She was thought of as a very good friend to those she was closest too. As a student, she was extremely bright and disciplined. She understood the importance of maintaining good grades. Thania was also a very faithful member of Iglesia De Dios Pacto de Gracia. She loved her family, however, everyone that knew Thania knew that she was certainly her mothers daughter. While our hope is in knowing we will see her again one day soon, until then, she will be missed! Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her mother, Marisol N. Barrios-Funtes; father, Marvin Ramos- lopez; stepfather, Nelvin Hernandez, siblings, Wendy Ramos, Denalie Hernandez, Daniel Hernndez, Benjamin Hernandez, and Valeria Hernandez; and her best friend, Alina Duque. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 17, 2020, from 6 until 8 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. Funeral services honoring Thanias life will be conducted on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Antonio Sevilla officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a monetary donation to the family to assist with Thanias medical expenses.
