Tara Elizabeth Farley

Tara Elizabeth Farley, 31, of Elliston, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011. She was born in Wytheville, the daughter of James J. Farley and Marie Farley and had also resided in Princeton, W.VA. prior to locating to the Elliston area several years ago. She received a nursing degree from Bluefield State College in W.VA. and had held several jobs in both nursing home settings and home health care. She volunteered at the Shawsville Food Pantry and was of the Catholic faith. She was always ready to lend a helping hand to others, enjoyed gardening and antiquing. A loving mother, daughter, sister and aunt, in addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter, Breanna Elizabeth ODell; two sisters, Erin Marie Farley Osborne and Shannon Maureen Farley Thompson; a brother, Sean Patrick Farley; half brother, James Patrick Farley; a half sister, Debra Ann Farley Savlas, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2PM, Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9PM, Monday at the funeral home.
