Tammy Lynn Fletcher Smith, 44, of Salem, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 23, 2016. She loved dolphins, was a wrestling fan, and enjoyed her kids and family always working hard for them in all she did. Preceding her in death were her grandparents, William Mack and Effie Fisher, and James D. and Mildred Fletcher; mother, Sharon Lynn Fletcher; and brothers, Steve Fisher and Charles W. Fletcher, Jr. The family left to cherish her memory includes her father, Charles Fletcher, Sr., children, Sharon Nicole Vickers Fletcher and Ryan Alexander Fletcher Walrond; siblings, Jay Fletcher and wife, Doris, and Terry Beckner and husband, Michael; aunt and uncles, Sue and J.D. Fletcher, and Jackie Lee Fletcher; and niece and nephew, Jessica and Logan Darnell. The family thanks the doctors and nurses of the Lewis-Gale Medical Center surgical ICU for their loving care. Periods of visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 27, 2016, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016, in the funeral homes chapel with Pastor Virgil Neil McHone and Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke. The Smith family is being served by John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, 540-389-5441.First Visitation
