Sue Cox

Sue W. Cox, 75, of Roanoke, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital with her son by her side. She was born on June 3, 1944, in Pearisburg, Va.to the late Woodrow Allen and Thelma Perkins White. Sue graduated from Giles High School. Following graduation, she became employed as a secretary in the banking industry before retiring with 30 plus years of faithful service. For a short period of time thereafter, she was employed as a clerk with Advanced Auto. Sue enjoyed listening to country music and during downtimes, in the evening, you might find her relaxing and enjoying a good cup of coffee. Above all, family time was of most importance to Sue. She looked forward to family functions or any opportunity to gather with those she most loved most. She will be missed! In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Allen E. White. Left to cherish her memory include her son, Binjammin McCroskey of Broad Run, Va; daughter, Kathy Caudle and husband, Bobby of Catawba, Va; sister, Linda Shepherd of Roanoke, Va; brother, Jake White of Salem,Va; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one loving niece.
