Steven Norris Edwards, 81, of Salem, VA, and formerly of Greensboro, NC, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Steve was the owner and operator of Olde Salem Framing & Gallery, where he combined a refined eye with exacting skill. His frames and curated pieces were known for their classy, elegant lines and timeless quality, which honored both the artwork and the people who treasured it. Olde Salem Framing & Gallery became more than a business; it was a place where generations trusted their most meaningful work.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Brenda Surber Edwards; children, Kelly Edwards of San Francisco, CA, Matthew Edwards and wife, Michele of Carrolton, TX, Sabrina Kitchens and husband, Will of Carrollton, TX, and Averie Edwards of Roanoke, VA; sister, Debbie Brearey; and grandchildren, Kinley Kitchens, Tatum Kitchens, Jude Edwards, Penelope Edwards, Brandon Charlton and Kendall Charlton; beloved dog, Lucy; and his old friend Sonny Holloman.

Visitation will be held at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home located in Salem, VA, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm in the funeral home's chapel on Monday, June 22, 2026, with Rev. Carl Goodman officiating. The interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.
