Stephen Albert Eggleston

Stephen A. Eggleston, 71, of Salem, passed away after a brief but courageous battle with cancer on Friday, July 17, 2015. He was born in Springfield, Ill., graduated from Eastern Illinois State University, and was a dedicated and avid golfer. Preceding him in death were his parents, Donald and Elizabeth Eggleston. His surviving family includes his wife of 53 years, Dot Eggleston; children, Chris Eggleston and wife, Lisa, and Stacy Masters and husband, William; brother, Donald Eggleston; sister, Betty Ruth Clark; and grandchildren, Billy Masters IV and Jack Masters. The family extends a special thanks to Heartland Home Health and Hospice for their personal and respectful care. A period of visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem.
