Stephen Franklin Brock

Stephen Franklin Brock, 69, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2014. Stephen was a graduate of Andrew Lewis High School, Class of 1964 and Virginia Commonwealth University. He retired from Sears, Roebuck and Company in Richmond, and 1300 Limited, a Richmond based partnership. Following his retirement, he returned to Salem. His greatest joys were his family, friends and Salem football, and his daily walks at the Salem Lowes store. He is survived by his brother, Archie Brock of Suffolk, VA, a sister, Penny Zirkle of Roanoke, VA, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem beginning at 1PM. Burial will be at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Education Foundation and Alumni Association, Ruth Brock Memorial Fund, P.O.Box 1461, Salem, VA 24153 or to a charity of the donors choice.
