Shirley Jordan Beamer Wagner, 84 of Salem, VA went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 5, 2023, with her loving family surrounding her. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy Michael Beamer, and Clifton C. Wagner; parents, Rev. Fred A. Jordan, and Clara Redden Jordan; brother, Fred (Rosemary) Jordan; sister, Joanne (Claude) Robertson.
Shirley was a friend to everyone she met. She took great pride in being a mother, friend, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a teachers aide at Glenvar Elementary School. Shirley was the first female deacon at Fort Lewis Baptist Church and a member to the end at First Christian Church.
Surviving are her sons Jeff (Sonya) Beamer, and Mike (Dianna) Beamer; brother, Ronald (Marilyn) Jordan; sister, Jackie (Darius) Turman; step-daughter, Sue Beck Hall, grandchildren, Sarah Beamer, Brandon Beamer, Chad (Cazzie) Beamer, Ben Beamer, Logan Hill, Ashley (Jeff) Narron, Morgan (Eric) Penny, Liz (Josh) Stalls; great-grandchildren, Chase, Lilly and Blake Narron, Cyrus Beamer, Maddie Stalls; many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family will receive friends in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel on Friday, March 10, 2023, from 6 p.m. 8 p.m. The Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. in the funeral homes chapel. Bereavement lunch to follow at First Christian Church.
