Shirley Lee Hess

Our sweet mother, Shirley Hess, 74, of Salem, passed away on Thursday September 5, 2013 with her grandson and sons-in-law by her side. She was born on September 8, 1938 to the late William M. and Lillian Barnett Ellis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard A Hess; five brothers, Ralph Ellis, Herbert Ellis, James Ellis, Bobby Ellis and Billy Ellis; two sisters, Marcella Sis Lee and Minnie Byrd. Surviving to cherish her memory includes her daughters, Sabrina Hess Thompson and husband, Keith, and Robin Hess Watson and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Gray and Allie Watson; brothers, Edwin Ellis and wife, Ivie, and Harold Ellis and wife, Jane; sister, Doris Worrell and husband, Harry; sister-in-law, Doris Naff Ellis; and numerous nieces and nephews.
