Shirley Ann Fletcher Conley

Shirley Ann Fletcher Conley, 81, of Salem, Va. and formerly of Narrows, Va., passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theodore and Irene Fletcher. Surviving are her siblings, Franklin (Jeanie) Fletcher, Juanita Higgs, Linda Farley, and Darlene (Shady) Fisher; and many nieces and nephews. Also left to cherish her memory are her children, Butch (Ginger) Conley, Calvin (Missy) Conley, Greg (Cindy) Conley, and Pam (Mike) Jonas; her adoring grandkids, Priscilla and Jennifer Jonas, Nicholas (Casey) Caldwell, Billy (Heather) Conley, Timmy Slayton, and Stephen Fisher; and loving great-grandkids, Davonte, Elijah, Cayden, Jack, Colson, Kaylani, Kirra, and a little girl on the way. She enjoyed a life of working hard to provide for her family and loving her time with her numerous friends. She enjoyed traveling, NASCAR, bowling, darts, and dancing. She was a 30-plus year member of the Moose Lodge and charter member of the Salem Moose Lodge, one of her proudest accomplishments. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral home in Salem, Va. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2018, in the funeral homes chapel with Chris Thomas. Burial will take place at 3 p.m. in Fletchers Family Cemetery in Narrows, Va.
