Shirley Ann Hickingbottom Baker

Shirley Ann Hickingbottom Baker, 89, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024.

She was a faithful member of Westside Church of Christ, and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a loving, caring, kind, giving, Christian woman that always had love in her heart.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Clinton and Oba Maynard Hickingbottom; husband, Herbert A. Baker; and siblings, Mildred Ganong and Jerry Hickingbottom.

Her surviving family includes her children, Pamella Edmiston (Robert) of St. Johns, Florida, and Paula Gibson (Lee) of Salem, Virginia; sister, Jane Darr of West Memphis, Arkansas; grandchildren, Krissy Pottenkulam (George) of St. Augustine, Florida, Tiffany Welling (Casey) of Loveland, Ohio, and Andrew Gibson of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; great-grandchildren, Antonia and Alexandria (Alex) Pottenkulam, and Clara and Audrey Welling; and many special nieces and nephews.

Respecting her wishes, all services are being held privately by her family including inurnment at Sherwood Memorial Park.
