Sheri Ann Ruff

Sheri Ann Ruff, 57, of Salem, while surrounded by her family, traveled to her Heavenly home Monday, March 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Braxton Ruff. She is survived by her mother, Mildred Grubb Ruff; sisters, Cornelia Underwood (Steve), Patricia Walton, Cindy Neil (Cecil), and Paulette Ruff; special uncle, Eugene Grubb; nieces and nephews, Melissa Gillenwater (Jason), Brad Underwood, Byron Roop, Jason Ruff (Kathryn), Stephanie Bryant (Timmy), and Sarah `Beth Walton; great nieces and nephews, Cameron, Caitlin and Patrick Carper; Mazie Roop; Isabelle Sizemore, Ava Burkholder, and Kaleb Ruff; Derrick and Zachary Bryant; special cousins Carolyn, Becky, Gary, and Darryl Thompson and other relatives; and her feline friends, Sassy and Baby Face. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014, in the Chapel at John M. Oakey & Son, Salem, VA, with the Rev. Dave Vanderpool officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at John M. Oakey & Son. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Rescue Squad. Special thanks go to all of the caregivers in the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, and on the Sixth Floor West Wing at Lewis-Gale Hospital.
