Sharon Miller Metcalf

On Sunday, May 25, 2014, Sharon Miller Metcalf, of Salem, Virginia, found peace at age 58. Devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and wife, Sharon was truly the joyful embodiment of Truth and Love. She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Jackson Metcalf, Jr.; her daughters, Terra Trull and Rebecca Lowe; and her four grandsons, Aidan, Ethan, Wyatt and Tristan, who share her energy and love of life. Sharon was the daughter of Patricia Ricketts; and sister of Pat Lamont, Colleen Johnson, and Mike Miller, all who survive her. She also touched the lives of many as a caring nurse, COTA, and yoga instructor. In accordance with her wishes, Sharon will be cremated and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, we ask on behalf of Sharon, that those who feel close to her in their hearts, contribute to Good Samaritan Hospice at 2408 Electric Road in Roanoke, VA 24018, an organization that helped fulfill her wishes to remain in her home during her final months.
