Savannah Nichole Burris, age 20, left this earth on Friday, June 17, 2022, at her home in Salem, Virginia.
Savannah was born in Roanoke, Virginia on December 10, 2001, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital to Samantha Rogers and Antonio Maurice Burris. She attended and graduated from Salem High School in 2020. Savannah obtained a degree as a Pharmacy Technician. She was working as a Front Desk Clerk and enjoying being a mother.
Savannah strove to show the world nothing was going to hold her back. She was shy but achieved whatever she set her mind to. Savannah had the most beautiful smile. She loved talking and being with her brothers and putting others before herself. To know her was to love her.
Savannah was preceded in death by her brother, Jason Rogers; great-grandmother, Sally Burris; her aunt Sonya Burris; her great-grandfather, William Trail, and her uncle, Corey Rojas.
She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her daughter, Luna Nichole Hale, and Lunas father, Spencer Hale; her mother, Samantha Rogers; father and step-mother, Antonio and Alfredia Burris; her grandparents, Brenda Lehrer (Donnie Janney) and Cecelia Finney; a great-grandmother, Gladys Trail; great-grandfather, Marvin Burris; four brothers, Daquan (Myra) Burris, Jaylin Gilbert, Taylor Burris and MorShai Wright; five aunts, Georgianna Rogers, Tina (Darryl) Height, Angela (Mark) Williams, Crystal (Tim) Tran and Latisha Wright; three uncles, Antoine Burris, Ronald (Debra) Rogers, and Mickey (Brenda) Rogers; a niece, Nylah Burris, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 26, 2022, at the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. An online guestbook is available for family and friends by visiting www.johnmoakey.com.
