Sarah Catherine Maxwell

MAXWELL SARAH CATHERINE Sarah Catherine Maxwell, 33, of Charlottesville and formerly of Salem, VA passed away Friday, June 8, 2012. She was born March 30, 1979 in Roanoke, VA a daughter of Glenn S. Maxwell and the late, Ellen Hebert Maxwell. Sarah was a Phd. Candidate in American History at the University of Virginia. She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, an avid and great knitter and a family member of the Blue Ridge Soaring Society. She is survived by her loving father, Glenn S. Maxwell; sister, Jennifer Glenn Maxwell; aunt, Christine Hebert of Wilmington, NC; uncles, A.G. Sandy Maxwell of Vinton and Hamp Maxwell of Salem; and a number of cousins. Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, June 18, 2012 with Rev. Erin Hensley officiating. A reception will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers donations in Sarahs name may be made to the City Rescue Mission, PO Box 11525, Roanoke, VA 24022. John M.
