Sara Lynn Ahalt

Sara Ahalt, 81, of Salem, Va., died April 7, 2021. She was a graduate of Lynchburg College, now the University of Lynchburg, and the MALS program at Hollins. She was a retired Roanoke County English teacher. She is survived by her sister, Martha Susan Ahalt; local cousins, Kenneth and Janet Otey, Danny and Kathy Otey, Mary Otey, Jason and Amanda Otey and family, and Montana Otey. She is survived by one aunt, Regina Ahalt, and numerous cousins who do not live in the area. She is also survived by special friends, George and Rebecca George and other good friends. People considering memorial donations are asked to consider Friends of the Salem Library or the Salem Historical Society. A graveside service will be held at Sherwood Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Reverend Janet Chisom. Service Details.
