Sandra Lyne 'Sandy' Mckay

Sandy Horen McKay, 61, of Salem, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018. She was born on September 4, 1956 in Detroit, MI, a daughter of the late Robert and Clara Link Horen and had been an area resident since 1959. Sandy was employed for many years as a manager for various valley Stop-In Food Marts and was also employed for a time by Magic City Ford. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cross-stitch, working in her flower garden and fishing with her husband. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Tom McKay; her son, Brian McKay; grandson, Ryan McKay, three sisters, Jan Herring, Pam Horen and Terry Wilson, and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to take this opportunity to express their sincere appreciation to the staffs of Richfield Health & Rehab and Gentle Shepherd Hospice for their care, love and support. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, July 13, 2018 at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pastor Cynthia Keyser will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5PM Thursday at John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem.
