Sandra Kay "Sandy" Ferguson

Sandra Ferguson Sandy, 59 of Roanoke, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She was born on March 14, 1962, in Norfolk, Va., daughter of the late Walter Russell Outten, Jr. and Betty Hawks Outten Breeden. Sandy will be remembered as a loving and kind person whos smile would turn any frown upside down. She loved her God, her family, and her friends. She enjoyed the simple things of Gods creation such as planting and maintaining her flowers and watching the hummingbirds and butterflies dance in the air. She loved all animals and occasionally painting to pass time, but she mostly enjoyed simply laughing and causing a smile to others in her company. In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Coy and Blanch Hawks. Family remaining to cherish her memory includes her loving husband, Tony Ferguson; children, Dusty and Leah Ferguson, and Melissa Wilson; siblings, Pat Lingo, Barbara Hylton, and James Wade; grandchildren, Anthony, Haley, and Jaxson Ferguson, Jamie, Abby, and Sam Wilson; and great-grandchild, Raley Wheat.
