Samuel Lee "Sammy" Pugh

Samuel Lee "Sammy" Pugh, 36, of Salem, Va. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 3, 2019, in Salem, Va. Sammy was born on Monday, June 7, 1982, to Garland H. Rucker, Jr. and Jacqueline Pugh in Roanoke, Va. He loved so many things; brawling, dancing, life, music, but most of all his children. Sammy was loyal to everyone, and he lived his life to the fullest. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Leonard Lee Pugh and his paternal grandfather, Charles Johnston; as well as Debbie Blankenship. Those left to cherish his memory in addition to his parents are his wife, Tia Faye (Sizer) Pugh; children, Samuel Lee Pugh, II, Journey Skylynn Pugh, and Bentley Garland Pugh; brother, Travis Williams; maternal grandmother, Shirley L. Pugh; paternal grandmother, Celosia Johnston; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A celebration of his life will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019, at the Belmont Park formerly Jackson Park shelter. Following the celebration you are asked to bring a covered dish for a picnic style lunch. In honor of "Sammy's" life, you are invited to bring yellow balloons.
