Samuel Payne Miller

Samuel P. Miller, 65, guided by the sweet sound of bluegrass ascended to heaven on Thursday, April 16, 2015, joining his wife Linda, his father and other relatives and friends who predeceased him. Survivors include his daughters Tracey (Jake) Dempsey and Jessi (DJ) Pomposini, his mother Mildred Morris, his sister Mary (Scott) Snyder, his brothers Richard (Betty) Miller and Bill (Mary) Morris, grandchildren Ella and Miles Dempsey and extended family. Others mourning his passing are a multitude of friends and his loving bluegrass family, all of whom helped him and our family during his final journey. A special thanks to Good Samaritan Hospice nurse, Mary. Sam I Am celebrated his life with love and a spirit of giving. He made many one of a kind gifts for many not knowing it was he who was the one of a kind gift. We will commemorate his life on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 4pm in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, with visitation immediately thereafter until 6pm. Flowers are appreciated or you may donate in Sams name to a charity of your choice.
