Ryder Maverick Seamster

Ryder Maverick Seamster, 7-month-old loving baby boy to David Seamster and Megan Shires, passed safely into the arms of his heavenly Father on Monday, July 6, 2026.

Ryder was a happy little boy whose smile would light up the room. He knew how to use his side eye to get what he wanted and to tell you what he thought. He loved his paci and "Bongo" his monkey. Though his time was short, he fought hard during his short time here with us every single day.

Preceding him includes his paternal grandfather, Phillip Seamster, his great aunt, Deborah Gross, and many great grandparents.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Madelyn Seamster; his paternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Wendy "Mimi" and Christopher "Papa C" Harris ; and his maternal grandparents, Ginger "Buddy" and Bobby "Pawpaw" Shires.

The family will welcome friends and family on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at John M. Oakey & Son funeral home in Salem.
