Ruby M. Schaal

Ruby M. Schaal Ruby M. Schaal, 89, of Gloucester, and formerly of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, May 30, 20011. She was born in Suring, Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Herman and Etta Wilson Miller and had been a Roanoke area resident most of her life prior to locating to the Gloucester area in 2007. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Llewellyn E. Schaal, a son, Herman Schaal, three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by a son Dudley Schaal and his wife Evelyn, and with whom she made her home; two grandchildren, James Schaal and his wife Amanda; Debbie Brooks and her husband Billy; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2PM, Monday, June 6, 2011 in the Chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home, Salem. Inurnment will follow at Old Dominion Memorial Gardens.
