Ruby Sharon Leffel, 63, of Roanoke, Va. and originally of Eubank, Ky., passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2018, to be with her loved ones in Heaven.
She retired from Southeastern Optical in 1990.
Preceding her in death was her loving husband of 26 years, Paul Leffel; and parents, Paul and Betty Galloway.
Her surviving family includes her sons, James Jim Hall and wife, Kelly, and Harold Spanky Goodwin and wife, Krista; stepsons, Jeremy Leffel and wife, Brittney, and Daniel Leffel and wife, Emily; grandchildren, Preston and Payton Hall; step-grandchildren, Langston Leffel, Cheyenne Leffel, Darrien Leffel, and Marcus Leffel; sister, Teresa Lester and husband, Larry; brothers, Paul Galloway, Jerry Galloway and wife, Donna, and David Galloway and wife, Mary; numerous nieces and nephews; special member of the family, Charlene Leffel; and her lifelong companion, Snickers.
The family expresses sincere thanks to Berkshire Health & Rehabilitation Center and good Samaritan Hospice for their loving care for Ruby.
A period of visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018, in the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem. A service celebrating Rubys life will then begin at 6 p.m. with Carol Fletcher officiating. Visitation will once again follow the service and conclude at 8 p.m.
